what i've been reading and writing lately

haven't worked on my novel in months. beginning again is going well

indexing my notes is such a lifesaver. it's also a nice way to log all the stuff i've been studying.

i feel like i do myself a disservice when i don't count books being read if i've already read them in the past. even though i've read them before, reading them again still counts as having read a whole book. so i decided to add them to my yearly reading log and mark them accordingly as rereads.

it's so cool when i find local events that fit my vibe. i attended color me plurr at pyxis the other day, and it was a nice place to craft. i worked on some activities from syllabus by lynda barry, where i drew a car and batman from pure memory.

another attempt to use my phone less: trying out the sunny light notebook at home for when i feel an itch to use my phone out of boredom or when an idea comes to me and i'm desperate not to forget it. i like the size, but unsure if it's worth taking with me when i leave home. but i'm a homebody so i don't really have to worry much about that anyway.
